Korea Post’s rate system for international mail will be amended from the existing 4-zone based rating to destination country-based. The new rating system will reflect delivery costs more accurately for each country and will also benefit to customers by helping them check available services by country.

In addition, the weight scale for K-Packet and small packets (air), which mainly target under-2 kg items, will be further divided from the existing 6 steps to 20 steps for each 100 g, with a view to supporting exports of small-sized e-tailers.

Other changes include the integration of surface parcel and surface small packets and the addition of 1 kg-price range to lessen burden of surface mail customers.
