Definition
Prohibited items refer to articles prohibited or restricted from insertion in postal items. Prohibited items are designated in the following cases:
  • 1) if such measure is considered necessary, as an article by its nature may cause harm to the handling staff or damage to postal facilities or other items;
  • 2) if such measure is considered necessary, given trade policies, etc. of related countries.
Prohibited items are in accordance with treaties, the Postal Act, international postal regulations, and other domestic laws or announcements.
